This sacrament is celebrated about the age of ten or so. Currently, it is celebrated yearly according to the bishop's availability. Confirmation completes the sacrament of Baptism. Through Confirmation the candidate begins to accept responsibility for their life as a child of God. To enable this, there are several weeks of lessons and preparation, which culminate in the 'Day in the Spirit' during which the candidates review their understanding of the sacrament, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and their chosen saint, practice for the ceremony and meet the bishop-celebrant.
